Anyone tried VV 135 in the 6bra. using 105-108 bullets? It seems to be in between H4895 and RL 15 on the burn chart.

Isn't N-135 a tick slower than H-4895 which is supposedly the popular powder for the BR Improved? I've never used 135 in my BRAI but I found H-4895 way to fast in my barrel. I went to Varget and it worked well.Myself would never consider it, and believe it would be way to fast burning for those bullet weights in a 6BRA.
Just my 2-Cents.
Yes, according to this chart.Isn't N-135 a tick slower than H-4895 which is supposedly the popular powder for the BR Improved? I've never used 135 in my BRAI but I found H-4895 way to fast in my barrel. I went to Varget and it worked well.
It wouldn't be my choice either but H4895 is faster on the burn rate chart, for what that's worth, and there are a lot of folks shooting it in 6 Dasher and 6 BRA with 105 gr bullets.Myself would never consider it, and believe it would be way to fast burning for those bullet weights in a 6BRA.

That's my experience too, James. That said, it seems that several powders have changed a bit and it often correlates to about the time that the anti-copper fouling agent was added to them. A powder that I used for 10 years with remarkable consistency changed around the same time, quite a bit.My old lot of N135 ('94) is substantially FASTER than any of the H4895 that I have. Mine is closer to N133 than it is to H4895. It has been good with lighter bullets, but I wouldn't use it with 105 class bullets.
