N-530 in the 6BR

Its like this. I have seven pounds of N-530.
According to Vihts burn rate chart its close to N-135.
I can't find any load data anywhere for it for any bullet weight.
Sure would like to burn some up. Anyone have any insight into loading parameters. Any bullet weight will do. Thnx

use 1 less number on your Culver powder measure than you use with 133...and only up to 80 gr bullets....Roger

Appreciate the reply Roger. err ahh I do not own a culver.
I'm in the process of taming an Acculab.
Would it be safe to assume the one number you refer to is roughly 1.0 gn.
I'm not too shy about reloading by the seat of my pants but its always better to seek a knowledgable opinion first. Thanks again

Sorry I cannot offer a load for your 6BR. However for reference purpose only, I have a fantastic load in my 6-47 Lapua. 32.5 grains of VV530, sierra 85 grain spitzer and CCI primer groups in the high 2's at 100 yards. No idea what the speed is. I'd like to work up a load for my 6BRX as well but never seem to have enough time.

oopss...sorry ...I figgerd since u are loading a benchrest gun or at least a benchrest cal...you have a Culver type...Harrells/Jones/RFD/Bruno...measure....
The load is not less weight...just less volume...
the load data is aprox..
133 = .540 powder density X 55 cliks = 29.7 gr
530 = .585 powder density x 54 cliks = 31.6 gr
...these are aprox loads ...with 66-68 gr bullets....for 75 gr bullets drop the number 1.5 and for an 80 gr bullet go 1.5 less for a total of 3.....
If you dont have a Culver style measure...you have no idea how handy and quick they are...I reccomend spending 200-300 $$ for one of them,,,rather than on the scales...Just my opinion...Roger
