13" gas tube?

Silly question.
I bought an AR Stoner 6x45 barrel from Midway. It needs a gas tube that is about 13" long. Can I just cut down a 15" tube to fit? Or where can I find a 13" tube?

Gas tubes come pre cut for any length youll encounter. Mid, carbine or rifle. Look at the ends and where the bends are and youll see you wont be able to cut them down as both ends have a purpose and fit

If so it states "rifle length" gas tube so that would be the one you should use. Me thinks the 15" must be an extended version for 24" or 26". I believe the carrier key end has a bit of bulge then taper to align itself so cutting that end not it. Cutting other end would mean correctly drilling gas block retainer pin hole. To avoid additional expense and perhaps some frustration perhaps ordering the correct length may be better but that is just me and YMMV.

There is also an 'intermediate' that Noveske 18" barrels use and perhaps some others? But listing above clearly states "rifle".

That is the barrel I bought. Just throwing a tape measure on it, it measures 13.5 from hole to end of chamber. Where do they take the measurements from?
Sorry to sound like a complete dork, but this is my first AR build.

You get the gas tube they specify which for that one its a "rifle length" it all has to do with port pressures and where they put the block. So order a rifle length gas tube and correct block and itll drop in
