I have shot 75 Gr FB bullets to fireform brass and they were making small holes in the target. Never shot 80's.

Bradley Walker,

I have shot 80gr in every 14 tw BR I have had (5). Give them a try.

I wanted to buy a slow twist barrel for my 6BR. I have a 1-8 but I wanted to get a barrel for 100-200 yards.

Just one hour ago, i shot some 80gr berger bullets in my 13.5 twist 6ppc. They shot just fine. Lee

I have a 13 twist and it loves the 68gr and 80gr bergers

Can you get the 80's to shoot as tight as the 68's?

I thought about getting my new barrel and setting up my load for 80's and shoot point blank with them in my 6BR and see how it comptes with the 6PPC.

People say the 6BR is over capacity compared to the 6PPC, but that is with the same 68 grain type bullet.

80 grain Fowler tests in 14 twist barrel.

I have a 1-8 , but would like to try a 1-14. My 1-8 isn't the tightest with the 70gr bullets, although I haven't done a lot of testing yet at longer range. Wanting to shoot the lighter bullets for PD's this summer, any " shot out" slow twist barrels out there to be had?? .5 MOA would be good enough for me for this summer.

Amazing and funny.

If you use just about any of the popular formulas a 68gn bullet in a 14 twist should'nt stabilize at any velocity. We all know they do of course.
But an 80 in a 14 twist? Looks like I'll have to try this one myself. Thanks for the extra work load guys but I find this interesting enough to work harder ;D

they should work ....I have several 14 twist bbls and they will shoot "some" 80's.....Berger-YES...Fowler-poor --Sierra-NO.... it depends on the bullet....and its BC/length....that is why some guys say NO and some say YES>..its the bullet ....you gotta try whatever U hav.....with a 13.5 most should work....and some bbls are not exactly what they are marked...esp button bbls...cut is usually rite on the money....Roger
