Yes I find that with reg primers the powder burns more consistent and evenly, with no bridging or spikes in pressure. Which allows you to load more powder or run the loads hotter, and also you can see signs of pressure at a more gradual progression. IE: From Flat Primers to ejector marks to sticky bolt and then to blown primers and then finally stuck cases. I have found that Mag Primers can skip over a few steps IE: Go From flat primers to Stuck case and just jump over they other three tell tale signs.
