$1200....buy or build?

1+++ on shooter corner, I bought a 6 ppc, stolle panda action,custom 14 twist barrel, mc millan stock, pillars and bedded, with only 600 rds total down the tube, all done by a know gunsmith. 1700,00, I dont think you can beat that, custom rifle ready to shoot.
If ever I wanted to resell, I could get that back out of it.

Pick up a nice used custom and save the headache of replacing everything you just purchased because you thought you knew better.. That is the expensive way trust me I know.. I got good advice and thought I would build a gun to do double duty, Boy did that cost more then it needed to..

Here is my experience... If you have 1200 bucks now, I would simply save up the money, even if it takes another year, to get what you NEED for what you are wanting it to accomplish...

+1 above. If you're desiring to shoot up to 1,000 yds., then save your money to add to your purchasing budget so you can buy a used custom-quality rig. In addition, save some money for quality optics as well.
