115 RDF load info

Can anyone give me some info regarding the 115gr RDF's being used in a 6X47 Lapua ? I didn't have very good luck with the 140gr RDF's, in a 6.5 Creedmoor, so I'm a little leary about buying anymore RDF's at all. Thanks

I'm using Berger 115 vlds in a 6x47l on top of 38.0gn of H4350. Getting just over 3000fps out of a 26" barrel.

Any advice towards the 115 RDF's?

Not sure how the bearing surface compares to the bergers.
Maybe start by loading 3 rounds each 36.5gn thru 38.4gn in .3gn steps.
Look for pressure signs. In my rifle 38.4gn was too hot, got flat primers and heavy bolt lift.
The sweet spot for 115 vlds in my rifle is at 3008fps.

Ok, thanks. What's your seat choice, jam or jump?

I'm curious, what twist is your 6x47 barrel?

I think if you'll check the ojive of the bullet and with a faster twist such as you have it's possible they will shoot for you. There are some fellas on here shooting a faster twist for the bullet they're shooting and they say they are having good results.

I'm just starting to shoot the 105 in a 6br. I've ran them out to 1000 yards on the first day out. 1-7.5" twist 28". 100 yards they knotted up tight sighting in with a little barrel break in. 600 was a 6 shot 5" group, 800 was also good. 1000 opened up but still not bad for a 6br at 1000 in the condition I shot it in. I'm brand new to a 6br. This is a load I took from quick load.

Stick with dtacs if your going to use 115gr. I have tried RDFs not good. Have 2 6x47 rifles and 1 16" pistol, personally i don't think you can beat 105 hybrids and h4350. Dtacs work good in this cal. With 1-7t. But get better speed with 105s
