115 dtacs for hunting?

First real post here and I have a couple questions. I'm about to start a 6xc build that will be used for hunting half the time and up to 1000 yards the other half. So could I use the dtacs for both, or would I be better off using something like a 105 amax that has been proven to be a good hunting bullet. Also I won't be hunting anything larger than a deer or a occasional hog.

Me and a friend used them this year. Never lost a deer. The only bullets that didn't exit were quartering to shots that ended up in the guts and I didn't go in after them. One thing we did was look at the meplats and choose the ones that had the biggest hole in them for hunting.

I have never tried DTACS, so I can't specifically answer that question. I would suggest that you give Berger 105 Hunting VLD's a try. Very accurate and they are "the Bomb" on whitetails. I am a former Nosler Partition shooter in 6mm. After the last two deer seasons, I am now firmly in the Berger camp.

Alright, thanks for the help guys I'm gonna try the dtacs first as I already have some. I just wasn't sure dtacs would be adequate for deer till I got some advice from someone with more experience.
