115 DTAC TBN COATED BULLETS w/nose ring *UPDATE*

I hope your barrel and the DTACs like each other. You have the boiler room for some impressive performance.

I got very good results with H4831 and Berger 115s but I tested even slower powders, and I was glad I did. RL-23, RL-26 and VV-165 all produced quite a bit more speed and equal-to-better precision than H4831. RL-26 was the velocity champ (I though my chronograph was broken . . .) and the groups were terrific, although string shooting is not its thing. VV-165 did really well, too, and it shares the cooler burning characteristics of VV-160.

Enjoy the ride!

VV N165 is what your looking for
Managed to grab a couple of pds. of VV-N165 @ Midway today. Was on sale for $42.00/pd. Figured since both of you guys were having good luck with it I might as well get it while I could at that price. Thanks for the info.

I'm running them in a 6 Creedmoor jumping to the lands. 41.0 gr of H4350 with a CCI 200 in Alpha brass yields me 2,947 fps. That's with a 26" Krieger barrel.

One thing that's frustrating for me is that the box has several that did not have the nose ring. I didn't notice this until after I seated the first one without it. Check for the nose ring before seating.

You could have taken some. Grab what you need when you come over next
Went over to SVT_Tactical's house today and grabbed 100 of the 115 DTACs. Got some VV-N165 on the way too. Will get the 243AI on the bench and empty some brass out (everything is loaded LOL) asap so I can see what these bad boys is holding in the accuracy and speed department. Anybody recommend which primer to use ?

BTW, this dude is first class and helps anytime he can. Appreciate all you do Bro.

N165 is pretty easy to light. I use Federal 210Ms in mine with no complaints.

I used to use the BR-2 primers with H1000 in my 6mm Competition Match to push the 115 DTAC'S. I've never shot the nose ring 115's. These days in my new Competition Match barrel I use CCI 250's with the DTAC'S.

Tried the 115 gr. DTACs N/R with H-4831 per Berger Cust. Serv. data. Looking pretty good but need to check fine tune. So far the Berger 115 VLDs are shooting better. Got my VV-N165 and loaded powder test as well but raining probably all day today and possibly tomorrow. Even though I am in the dry I don't shoot in rainy weather.

Bill being TBN coated. Try loading into lands. You need to build up the pressure to make them run.
If your running over 40.0 gr try 210M's. Don't use SRP brass!
