Hello everyone, long time lurker first time poster. This has got to be my favorite site. The amount of information that is available from this site and forum is amazing. Just a little background, I am not currently a competition shooter but am an avid hunter. I just recently got into reloading and have a question that I hope isn't to basic.
I have a .30-06 Vanguard that I have loaded some 110 gr V-Max's for and have yet to test. I noticed today at a local sporting goods store that Sierra's 110 gr HP is less than half the price of the Hornady's. I know that every gun is different and that different bullets will shoot better in some guns and not others, but how do these two bullets compare in the accuracy and explosiveness department? Just wondering if the V-Max's are worth the extra coin which I am not opposed to spending.
