10x Valdada, good or bad?

I am looking for a scope for a varmint rifle and saw that the fixed powed Valdada has an 18ft field of view which matches the 6x Leupold I have used for years. From what I can find, they have great optics but what can anybody add? I am not really pleased with my 3-10 Mark 4 and I rarely turn my variables up past 10x anyway. Thanks for any help. Tom

I've had a 4-14x50 for 7 months and am amazed about the repeatability, very nice glass and the MP8 dot reticle is spot on for ranging!

Four years ago I purchased a 6-24x50 with mp-8 which I owned for just over a year. Yes the glass was great but was nullified by other mechanical failures. This scope spent the majority of it's time in Colorado at their designated repair facility. I sent it in three times and they never resolved the problem, it would come back clear as a bell with the side focus working and after shooting a few rounds would develop the same failure. The side focus would simply stop working altogether and wouldn't allow you to foucs the sight picture. Sometimes I couldn't even make out the mounds let alone a prairie dog at 500yds. I'll never own another one, save your money and the frustration.

Sounds to me like they never fixed the issue to begin with!
I sent back a Burris twice in three months for different problems but I still know they make a decent product. Had the same problems with Leupold but they still make good scopes, I just don't have as much confidence in the latter 2!
I do think if you buy a straight power { set parrelax } scope of any brand, it will last longer than the variable scopes from the same company because of less things to screw up.

My experience? BAD in capital letters.

At one time I owned 5 IOR scopes. Two had issues and I needed to deal with the folks in East Denver, all 2 of them....

I am sure IOR optics in Bucuresti Romania builds a fine product, but until they offer support and repair in the USA and handle their own distribution and service I will never own another.
