108 Berger

Does anyone have a idea where a man can pick up a few hundred of the 108 target Bergers? Would love to try them out in a new Dasher.
Thanks.

I suggest contacting Bruno’s and order now. I believe they will have some as soon, or sooner than others. I have done that in the past and was happy that I did.

haha
lucky i picked up 3500 serria 107gr SMK when cleavers had their special before xmas..given upon bergers since there is no flow into australia, lucky to even reach a dribble

Not sure if anyone from Berger reads this, and I'm not sure they'd care given the size of the Australian market to the US, but we've been left high and dry over here without a doubt. In addition Lapua have been on backorder since last August and there is no timeline as to when they will land back in the country - looks like months at least so it leaves our options looking very lean.

They have a reputation of being inherently very accurate and easy to tune. Being a mass produced bullet, you will be playing "lot# lotto". Except, unlike the real lotto, you will win most of the time.
Ok. But at $400+ a thousand, aren’t you into custom bullet price range anyway?

My experience with customs is that they are between $500 & $550 per 1,000 delivered. I am not advocating the use of any bullet, but I can say that I haven't bought anything but custom 105 class 6mm bullets in a few years. It's very easy for me to justify the extra $.15/ round for high quality customs. Plus, in the rare event you can't make them shoot, you can pick up the phone and talk to the maker himself.

Now, have I placed higher in competitions since making the switch? Probably not. Is it the bullets' fault? Absolutely not. I was blown away with what I was able to do with some of Tom E's 103s on at least two occasions. But... at the end of the day you still have to know where to point and when to pull the trigger. I still find myself lost and confused far too often!

I think has been quite a while since they've been in stock. The 105's used to cost more than the 108's. Midway's price is $42.00 something. Seems everyone bought them up & now the manufacturer caught on. Supply & demand. Think I'll just start shooting the 105's, maybe the 107's. The 108's now reached the price of lapua's. Unreal.
