107 matching in 260 Remington

I've got about a box of 107 grain Sierra Matchking bullets not doing anything. Originally purchased them for a long gone Grendel. I'm wondering if anyone has tried them in the 260 Remington. Barrel is a 24" 1-8 twist Criterion medium sporter. Looks like Benchmark gives pretty good speed to this class and I've got a fresh pound to work with so I'll give it a go. Maybe try to hammer some song dogs before the winter is up.

Looks like they could certainly be useable. I think I'm just going to seat them all at 2.800" and call it good. It'll just be for fire forming and getting accustomed to the rifle. I'll get some chronograph data next time but I'm almost a grain and a half under max.

Dunno about 107's but I've shot a bunch o' 85 gr Sierra HP Varminter bullets out of my .260 and they are devastating on coyotes & jack rabbits. 49.0grs H414 out of a 26 inch Kreiger (1x9) gives me 3540 fps with good accuracy - not benchrest accuracy but 1/2"-3/4" will work on those 'dogs!

I used them years ago in my HP silhouette rifle with a light load of N135. Used the same load for chickens, pigs & turkeys. Sufficiently accurate and very pleasant to shoot.

I shot them in a 8 twist 260 in HP Silhouette whit a light load of varget for the c,p,t and they shot very well with low recoil.

I ordered some 107's for my 6XC and they accidently sent me 107's in 6.5mm. I figured why not try them in my 260rem and was pleasantly surprised. They shot very well out to 600yds. That's the longest distance I tried them at. I eventually sold the 260. Those 107's shoot well out of my 6.5-06 too.
