105grn A-max in a 9.25 barrel?

Anyone had any experience with this bullet? I've heard that it will stabilize and heard that it wont. 22" 9.25 barrel .243 win. Any informaton appreciated, Matt.

I had a rem vls in 243 that shot them great. but i have heard that some guns wont stabalise them.

Isn't the VLS a 1 in 9.125 twist? Never really know until you try it...

VooDoo, i think you are right, it has been awile since a owned that gun.

I had a old early model 700 Rem varmint special with a 24" 9&1/4tw factory varmint barrel chambered in 6mm Rem that shot them very well, but that gun shot everything from 55 to 105 well.

Shot 105 AMax in a Savage 12FV .243, 9.25 twist. Used it in F Class out to 1000 yds with good results.

I have a Rem 700 SPS with the factory 26" 9 1/8 twist bbl. The 105 AMAX works well, 1/2 MOA @ 200 yards. I am pushing them @ 2935 fps using RL22.

This is the Sierra GameKing at 200 yards with my wife shooting. Its about .916 center to center. The circled shots are from a different group.

I shot them in factory Rem 700 243 VS with a 26" 1-9.125" twist barrel, they shot sub moa out to 600yds. Tried them at 1000yds and couldn't hid the broad side of a barn.

Mattri - by all accounts this is borderline stability but only one way to know if it will work in your rifle is to try...let us know.
