105g vs 68g. For score?

IME, no. There's a break even point somewhere, where bc and stability and it's value vs all out accuracy meet. I've been testing those waters for a few years and am now testing a 10 twist shooting 87 and 90gr bullets. It's close but not there yet vs lighter bullets and slower twists. I have found that a 12 twist with 68's vs 80's is a coin toss. I've come to prefer the 12 twist over the 13.5-14's with either bullet and it gives me the option to shoot 80's. The 80's seem to have the slightest edge at 200 and beyond but it's too close to call with no clear and obvious advantage to either. Jury is still out on the 10 twist with 87 or 90's. I've never seen 105 class bullets hang with the lighter ones yet. At least not in good to average conditions. Maybe in a hurricane. I'll be shooting the 10 twist at the UBR 200/300 Nats next weekend. Like I said, it's close but just not sure that setup can be competitive yet. I'm hoping for enough condition to have the bc be of some help but we'll see. One match doesn't mean a lot but it's a start. I've shot it in two other matches. The first was a disappointment. Changed loads and bullets, saw improvement and got 2nd place in the next match. I made lots of mistakes that cost me that match too...so It's close.

Another thing...I chambered a 6BR 8 twist for a forum member a while back. He's shooting 90gr Bergers in it and it's shooting quite well. Had a 500 yard side match to a regular UBR match a while back. It was 4 targets at 500 for both group and score. FWIW, he had the small group on all 4 targets at 500.
