105 gr. bullet

Will a 1 in 9 twist stabilize a 105 grain bullet in 6 mm? I'm thinking of making a switch barrel for my Savage and have access to a barrel in that twist but want to shoot the heavier bullet. Thanks

The only 105 I`m aware of that works in a 9" t is the Hornady A-Max.

Info only. According to the newest Hornady Reloading Manual under 105 Grain bullets (#24562 A-Max) appears:

NOTE: The 105 grain A-MAX bullet will not stabilize in a 1-10" and slower twist Bbls.

Personally I shoot Sierra 107's in my Savage Model 12 BR Rifle (1-8") and those shoot fantastic groups.
