105 bthp

Seeing if anyone has and first hand experience with the 105 bthp from hornady with 6 creedmoor. Looking for first an available bullet and it doesn’t hurt that it’s affordable. The rest of the combination will be lapua srp, cci 450, h4350. Rifle wears a factory 26in tube with ec tuner brake.
Thanks for the help.

It shoots well enough in one of my Creedmoors. I haven't tried it in the other one. By well enough I mean it shoots "almost" as good as the ELD-M. It isn't as good as the Sierra 107 or Berger 108. I've shot maybe 500 or so of the 105 bthp in the Hornady Black line to accumulate brass and again, they shoot well, but the ELD-M shoots better. You might not see any noticeable difference in your rifle. I was using 40.7 RL-17 at the time and IMR4350 as H4350 wasn't then available to me. Go ahead and try them and report back.

I had a 6 creed for a short time, with a NSS barrel. I shot 107 SMK, Sierra 100gr SP, 108 eldm, and 105 HPBT. Out of all of those offerings the 105 HPBT from Hornady shot the best. My load testing only went out to 200 yards. Oddly enough my 6br is the same and liked the 105s the best, until I tried 108 Berger.

Edit: I was also using H4350 and CCI 450s

I have been using the 105 BTHP in my 6 creed and have gotten very good results (6" groups at 1000 yds). For some reason I bought a box of Hornady 108 ELD match.

This bullet exceeded anything the 105 could do. It gave me 85 FPS faster at the target (1000 yds) using the same powder, charge and primers. Also gave me my best group of 4.25" at 1000 yds.

.I don't use the 105's anymore.

I shoot 107 smk but once the throat is almost done I go to the Hornady 105 bthp and get better results. Same load for all 105 gr bullets and the 107 smk

43 gr H-4831sc regardless what barrel length. Not the fastest but consistent and very accurate.
For whatever reason I could never get H-4350 to shoot as good as H-4831sc or RL-25 is any barrel.

Next most accurate powder for me was RL-25

Not with the 6mm Creedmoor but with the 6XC, which is very close in terms of capacity and performance. The Barnes 112s shoot very tight out of my 1:7 twist barrel with H4350. Perhaps not as tight as 105 Hybrids, but pretty darned close. Sort by length for best results on target.

The claimed BC is a bit optimistic but they're definitely worth a try in the bigger 6mms, especially when taking into consideration the cost. I would (and have) shoot them in a club match.
