Not all barrels like the same seating depths but with that being said, all of my dasher barrels preferred to be seated into the lands generally between .005 to .010. My barrels were all .237 bore, 8twist Krieger's. You should test however because some of the fellows that I compete against at Williamsport, their barrels preferred to be jumped, some as much as .040. I generally start at .010 in then at .008 in then at .oo6 and then .004. Then I start at .005 off and go in .003 thousandths increments until I'm .020 off, that is usually enough to find a depth that your barrel prefers. All this is done after you determine which powder and charge weight your barrel prefers. If the Vapor Trails shoot well for you and I'm certain they will, you might want to order a few more to go win some hardware with.
