103 gn vapor trail bullet

Looking for info on the 103 vapor trail bullet . Load data , seating depth , for a 6 br . And are they a good bullet

Vapor Trail is hand pulled. VTac is automated. I use them in 6 XC and 6BR and don’t have any complaints. As far as load data I use what data is available for Berger Bullets. Tom is good people. Link to website.

30gr of Varget, with a BR4 or 400 primer seated .007" in the lands from touch will get you close.

Outstanding bullets. Generally .005” in has worked best for me. No load data for you, as I shoot them in a BRA. Get with @Tom E. He will put you on the list.

Hey i wanted to thank you for replying , because i didnt expect the replies i got . Ive got 2 6br's panda actions , wheeler lrb stocks , 28" barrels . 1:8 tw . I like the 105 hybrids , but im about out and cant find any . So im looking for a steady flow of 6mm bullets , because i also have a dasher and a 6x47 lapua .

So you're likely looking at the V-Tac if you want a steady supply of bullets now?



I was going to post about v-tac seating g depth so I'll follow this post. I'd assume the v-tac and hand pulled will both be near identical in white their "happy spot" is as I believe they are the same bullet except the v-tacs are pressed by machine rather than hand?

I'm looking to tune them and they weren't happy where I started and I don't have a ton on hand to chase around...so was hoping to figure out where they generally like to be seated.

I've shot them in 2 6BRA barrels. First one liked .007" in the lands and the second one likes them .012" off the lands. Best bullet I've ever shot in my 6's. Call Tom and order a couple thousand. You will not be disappointed.

ya never said what distance. i have seen ONE 6br do good at 1000, but a bunch more bra's and dashers.
there is a reason we ask questions when the poster asks a very open end question

Order some v tacs now and get on the list for hand pulled bullets. Cover from touch to .010 in the lands. Powder charge will be similar to any other 103 to 105 grain bullet. You wont be going back to Bergers.

Depends on who you ask. Depends on what your barrel likes.

I will modify your question: Are the V-tacs more consistent in size OAL/BTO/Weight (uniformity) than Berger’s.

Perhaps someone that has measured enough of both can answer this for us.
