1000yrd gun choice

Fellas,
I would like to shoot at a 1000yrd event and do not have a gun built for such and event,
For a one time fun experience would my AR 243wssm 1/8 twist shooting 105gr bergers get me thru the day.
This is the only gun that I have in the safe that might do the job and am not looking to shoot a perfect score just want to enjoy the day.

The AR would not be allowed in normal IBS or NBRSA 1000 yd matches. I don't think any IBS range is offering an AR class. Some ranges may let you shoot in the LG or HG class without the oppertunity to advance to the shootoff. Not sure about F-Class.
Come to Byers Colorado next weekend for their 1000 yard Benchrest match and you will be welcomed to shoot along with the regular light and or heavy guns. There willl most likely be at least one other AR shooting there. I would really like to see how the WSSM performs.

I believe the rifle will do well to meet your goals. But, evidently, some ranges may restrict it. At the range I shoot, though it is limited to 600yrds, I shoot along side of folks shooting all forms of prone rifles. You will likely be restricted to single loading rounds, which should not pose a problem. Check with where you plane to shoot. Where are you located?
