YesDo people Really hold on the Same Spot,
for Ten Shots??
Whaaaat ?![]()
We shoot under our rules and make the rules. So anybody saying anything doesnt have a leg to stand on. Years ago they taped white squares on the target for a patch. It wasn't printed on the target. Joe, you should remember that for as long as you shot there. MattSorry guys but that would be modifying the target and I don't think we should go there! Because if you break a record there will be people saying it doesn't count and we have enough problems. I know I have to use the corner of the patch with my L.G. with cross hairs and with the H.G. with a dot I do the best to hold top or corners of the patch. So I think by using the smaller spotters you should be good to go. Now on the other hand if when we run out of the targets we have, and people want to change to a dot instead of the X maybe we could do it then. But we just got targets last year so it will be a while.

I can't see it !!! Need something larger may like 4 moa , all those circles are a distraction anyway lol .An orange sticker placed here as to not cover up the x ring. No modification to the target. If made available for all, I fail to see the harm.
Maybe we should redesign the whole target, after all it was designed over 40 years ago. When dinosaurs roamed the land. Shrink all of the scoring rings in half. 1-10 but the same OD.HaHa Times have changed.I can't see it !!! Need something larger may like 4 moa , all those circles are a distraction anyway lol .

Matt yes we did use a 4" patch so people could have an aiming spot years ago with the all black target. That is a good point. So you guys feel if we have a membership vote at our first match and the members say yes it should be legal. I have no problem with it. But the members should have the last say.
So next week I will bring it up.

That's why everybody luv's ya Joe and by the way, I hope you're feeling better and everything got straightened out...…………..Chuck
I knew I liked you Ray, even if you do shoot a brown or tan or off white or whatever the heck the color of your stock is!Maybe when new targets get purchased they could put a small black dot in the center for the colored blind folks..

He is just busting my balls, I think most like the idea of a solid aiming point.. Why not?Not out to reinvent the wheel Joe. Just thought that it might improve the sport. Everyone spends countless hours preparing over the winter in anticipation of getting that one perfect relay when there is absolutely no mirage and the flags are laying flat. The intention was not to change the current target but just to offer a smaller aiming point. Everyone was to be able to participate if they chose to and no one would have been left behind due to vision. I was just thinking outside the box for the betterment of all.
