1000 Yard IBS Nationals @ Hawks Ridge

Anybody know the name of the campground nearest to the club? Runs in my mind I stayed in a state campground a cpl miles down the road but Google is not jogging my memory.

Jim the only campgrounds close would be at warrior creek at W Kerr Scottt lake, i would call in advance its a very popular camping area. I just thought of a little campground actually just as the crow flies less than a quarter mile from the range on Mt Zion road which is the road before gladys fork rd where HR is. There would be way more to do at the lake if you wanted to bring your family. Just let me know ill be glad to get you the info on Mt Zion road if you wanted to do that if its not full. Joey

Will have updated list in a week or so still getting entries and phone calls just a guess would be mid 70 with more to come or promised . Don’t worry we won’t have a limit we have plenty of time to get the event in . Prize table is coming together nicely thanks to Kent Braxton.
Most of all it will be a fun show and I can’t wait for some of that Mike McNeil chicken may have to break out that big ol ice cream maker .

Ok shooters, we are a week away from the IBS 1000 yard Nationals at Hawks Ridge! The attendance looks great, nearing . The weather is looking good and things are coming together for a great event. I hear Bud Light will be on sale for the weekend at the local grocery stores and we will have the wonderful BBQ chicken supper Saturday after the match. Be sure to register before the 5 pm cutoff Friday. Also, remember you need feet for your rest, if you don’t already have them there should be some for sale at the range. Look forward to seeing everyone, y’all travel safe!!!

Just checked the weather, mid 80’s with 5mph winds!!! Sounds phenomenal, perfect weather and I’m sure everyone is shooting small while tuning. Great food, a lot of smack talking (Ray Lowman is the King on trash talk), fellowship and on top of all of that.... we get to burn some powder! Not sure about the rest of you, but damn if that doesn’t sound like one heck of a way to spend Labor Day weekend!

Well in the Good Lord is willing next week at this time the winner of the 2019 IBS 1000 Yard Benchrest Nationals Sponsored by Vapor Trail Bullets will be headed home . Starting tomorrow many will be getting ready to start this way and I wish you all safe travels . We are around 90 entries at this time with several more promised . Our prize table will be finalized tomorrow and man it’s looking great . Special Thanks Kent Bratten 2nd VP of the IBS E Board you have done a absolutely outstanding Job of securing prizes for the prize table . Look forward to seeing each of you soon safe travels again to all of you.

We hope to be able to give live relay results as they are posted as well as up to date rankings as well when possible so if you can’t make it be ready to sit back and watch results and standings posted real time. Hawks Ridge Gun Club will be closing at 2 pm Thursday August 29th in order to prepare for Nationals. We will reopen at 8 Friday morning and start shooting and check in around 930 .
