Do any of you ever take the barrel off your 10 22 rifle to clean it?

I drilled a hole in the back of the receiver so all I had to do is remove from the stock and remove the bolt then run the rod through like normal.

I'm told drilling the hole voids the warrantee. I clean mine from the muzzle.

I clean mine also from the muzzle with a Possum Hollow 10/22 cleaning kit. Love it

I usually clean mine using Otis cable system. If necessary, from the muzzle with a rod.

the Otis works very well and does not require disassembly of the rifle, I highly recommend it.

A hole in the rear of the receiver and cleaning from breech to muzzle is the answer.

Unless it is a plinker for shooting dirt clods with bulk pack ammo. In that case, it really doesent matter.

Thanks for that post. I want to do this with my Charger after my new barrel goes on.
