1:8 twist to much for 7mm?

So, after reading until I went cross eyed and using Berger's cool little twist calculator for SG>1.5 I decided to go with a 1:8 twist for my 7mm barrel. I will be shooting primarily 168gr Berger Hunting VLD's and the 180's as well. I would rather error on the side or more twist then less but am I crazy for going with 1:8? Any direction would be great and of course would love to hear Mr. Litz's thoughts. Thanks.

The idea of over spinning a bullet comes from high altitude artillery. In small arms fire, its really a non issue. I would run a twist rate that cover all known bullet weights. To optimize BC you need to have an SG of 1.5+ under all conditions you will shoot at. You will be just fine with a 1:8.
