I like to shoot a average or above but I don't know what that is if I don't have something to base it on. That is why I asked the question.

Dont really shoot varmint rifles to 1k but I want lighter barreled big game hunting rifles to hold around 3-4" 3 shot groups. I would expect the same for a varmint rifle or better. Thats what the rifle can do early morning conditions.

Was shooting at 300 yds today with no flags. 10-15 MPH wind & shot (3) 3 shoot groups at a .555 average. What would you estimate the groups would have been at 500 yds?....just for fun.

The groups were similar in size. Will re-shoot at 500 yds this next week as the range should be driveable.
