  1. Which neck wall thickness gauge to use???

Looking for my first neck thickness gauge. I figured instead of buying the wrong one and have to replace it, rather buy the correct one off the bat. Which is why I’m asking. I was considering the Sinclair digital handheld gauge which is highly rated or the Redding Sinclair model...
  2. Where benchrest guys measure bullet runout?

Just picked up a 21 century concentricity gauge tool. But I don’t actually know where to place the pointer on the bullet. Near the top, ogive, or where it enters the neck case?? What do the benchresters do?? Where do you guys place the pointer of the gauge?
  3. Berger 140 hybrids anywhere?

The Berger 140gr hybrid 26414’s seemingly have all been abducted by aliens again. Does anybody know who may have some in stock?
  4. How to turn brass to proper diameter?

How do I determine the throat diameter of my barrel? I have basically figured out how to measure the rest the chamber. But I want to buy Peterson fat neck brass. I just don’t know how much I am suppose to turn it to. I am newbe to neck turning. Thanks
  5. 30br bullet pointing???

Dumb question. From what I have read, you really just start to see the results of bullet pointing after 300yards. And 30br for benchrest. which is the most popular sub 300 yard gun, so do 30br rounds ever get pointed? Seems pointless. Really did not mean to end that with a pun.
  6. Is the premier accuracy fli rite the best one?

What is “the best” as far as concentricity gauges on the market. I know 21 century is up there, but the fli rite seems to be the only one that can actually fix the runout.
  7. Resizing only part of the neck??

When I bought my Forster shoulder bump die/ neck die, in the instructions it says that you can loosely fit the bushing. This will cause you to only size about 2 thirds the neck. Leaving the bottle third to the fired dimension. Basically leaving a big external donut on the neck. They say...
  8. Flat base vs boat tail question in 300 blk

So I went to the range with new gun. I shot 2 different bullets. This is a fun gun and a cheap gun and was not expecting much. The first rounds I shot were magtech 123gr. The grouping was what I was expecting from this gun. About 1”- 1.5” at 50 yards. Figured that was not bad for a...
  9. 220gr smk .308 Best Price?

Does anybody know who has the best price on smk bullets, specifically 30cal, 220gr smk hpbt’s? Thanks
  10. Redding competition 30br dispenser question

Quick question for anybody who owned one of these. I picked it up used and loaded it with h4350 tonight. When I tried to measure a 35gr charge, it came out 25gr. Is this because of the powder I’m using, or does it need to be calibrated some how? Thanks
  11. Bullet depth vs powder charge, which first?

So I am developing a load for my rifle. And just got majorly confused. I am under the assumption that I have to figure out my powder charge before my bullet depth, but when I figure that out, I will then have to figure out my bullet depth which will change my powder charge??!! And if...
  12. Will powder charge change, changing brass?

Well, It’s all in the title. If I have a load developed for say hornady brass, and wanted to switch to Peterson, will my powder charge Change?
  13. Bullet seating and neck grip question

So I have a 6.5 creedmoor. The hornady eld match 140gr ammo I have used is 2.81 Oal. So I bought the hornady oal gauge with the 6.5cm cartridge. With the Berger 140 hybrid I measured 2.93/2.94. Does that sound normal? Seems like a massive jump. I am not “jamming” the lands but just...
  14. Gracey vs Wilson trimmer help

I know I have asked this in the past, But now that I have a better knowledge of reloading I understand what people were talking about last time I asked. Whether trimming from the base of the cartridge (Wilson) or the shoulder (gracey). Tho i bought the Wilson a while back, to trim and...
  15. Why Turn Neck Exterior?

So, here is my question for the Benchrest guys or “pro” neck turner. Why turn the outside of a neck? I can imagine that turning the “inside” of a neck would make a difference. Centering the bullet. But why the outside? When the brass is sized, the neck is not touching the inside...
  16. Sb p4fine reticle question

Wondering how people like the sb p4f reticle. I am not a benchrest shooter, But I like zooming in to higher powers at 200yrds. Problem is, my Steiner 5-25 military with the msr reticle, when zoomed the cross hairs completely cover the bullseye by a lot. I love the scope, but not...
  17. Question for RPR owners / reloading

i Have a question for Ruger precision rifle owners that reload. I have a 6.5. I am trying to find a magazine that allows for a longer bullet length. The magpuls that come with it just fit the factory ammo. With the tips litterally touching the plastic. I bought a magazine from...
  18. How much shoulder bump?

Hey all, I am wondering how much to shoulder bump. I have once fired brass out of my rifle. First off, is once fired brass the actual size of my chamber? And I always need to bump back to that point? Or do I not bump the shoulder back on the once fired because it is the actual size...
  19. 21 century vs Sinclair’s digital concentricity gauge

I know everyone is gonna say 21 century, but I’m drawn to Sinclair’s digital concentricity gauge. Easy and quick to read. Easy to set at the low point in the brass. Opinions and reviews welcome Thanks
  20. How is the Forster press built in primer seater?

it would be a dumb question to ask if anybody has this press, so knowing most do, it the primer seater devise on top accurately seat primers or don’t waste my time setting it up and get a hand held? Looking for specific feedback on Forster press primer seater on top only Thanks
