  1. front rest?

Randolph. I've used one of these for years for RF BR and think it's about as close to perfect as you can get. I've tried the Seb joystick but didn't like it. Maybe I'm just too clumsy, though. I know a number of excellent BR shooters who use Sebs and wouldn't trade for anything.
  2. Daylight Savings Time (DST)

The change was proposed back in the early seventies ('73, if memory serves) during the infamous energy crunch, but it was abandoned because in winter months children would have to go to school in the dark. Those who rode school buses would be standing alongside busy roads & highways in the...
  3. Question on buying from member with no history

You don't say what you're buying, but if you can, pay with PayPal, charged to your credit card. That gives you a lot of protection. Should you get stiffed you can go to PP for protection, and/or dispute the charge with your CC company. Of course, if you're buying a firearm then you can't use...
  4. Firearms prohibitions

I don't find these numbers surprising, but iIt would be helpful to know the source, time period, location and methodology behind them. Without that information the data is open to challenge.
  5. Shipping primed brass?

If it's just primed brass and not loaded ammo I don't even know whether UPS will require the new "Small Arms Ammunition" label. Even if you do have to apply the label, though, there should be no problem shipping primed brass at a UPS (or Fedex, for that matter) hub.
  6. Barrel of ammo Giveaway Brownell’s

Ditto, though I don't live in FL. This is for new subscribers, and I'm an old one. Maybe I'll sign up for my wife & dog.
  7. Scope Leveling

You can do the same thing with a deck of cards. Just add or remove cards to get the right thickness. And you can tighten everything down with the deck of cards in place: Just remove individual cards to add clearance when you want to pull the deck out.
  8. Harrels AR-15 Tuner on a .22

Since you already have the tuner and it'll fit both rifles (which you also already have), I can tell you an easy way to find out...
  9. Bench top wind indicator

Looks good. What's it called and who sells them?
  10. Bad Experience with Bud's Guns

I've bought a few guns from Bud's and never had a problem. My most recent purchase, though, was over a year ago. I got an email from Bud's early last year apologizing in advance for slow responses to queries due to the Chinese virus. That one seems to have affected just about everybody. Re...
  11. I REMEMBER WHEN

I remember when the only living ex-president was Herbert Hoover, doctors made house calls and candy bars were a nickel. I'm old.
  12. Couch Potato

    No NFL for me Ditto
  13. Peep sight for marlin 39-a

I have a Marlin 39A that my dad bought in 1946 (as soon after the war as possible). I have a Marbles Tang Sight on it and IMO it's the way to go. I'm still using the original front sight with it, one advantage the tang sight has over most other peep sights, which usually require a taller front...
  14. removing ring marks on a scope ?

Were the rings blue, black or silver finish?
  15. which scope rings are preferred ?

I use them exclusively, in both 1" and 30mm, airgun/rimfire and Signature Zees. Do you have any specific questions about them?
  16. Headscratchers: Why did a company build this gun?

That is absolutely the best, hands down no holds barred, the t-total best damn gun review I've ever seen! I woulda liked to see an accuracy report with the gun(s?) held sideways, gangsta style, though. And it left one question open--is it available with one barrel in .45ACP and the other in...
  17. Bullets starting wildfires?

If the news reports say no tannerite or tracer was involved you can be pretty sure that one or both were.
  18. Are All Spotting Scopes, Under $2,000, Made in China?

With the Pentax (Japanese-made, BTW) you can use any 1.25" standard astronomical eyepiece. Lots to choose from, and Pentax-made eyepieces are among the best.
  19. Best option for 22mag lever gun

Is there another maker still in existence? I've never had a Henry in .22 HMR but I did have a Goldenboy a few years back and it was a really good gun. Well made, very pretty and accurate. I sold it only because I also had a Winchester 9422M 1st year production and a Marlin 39A that my dad...
