    The same reason the BR-AI has become more popular over the Dasher. The smaller BR based cartridges tune better/smaller. Will a GT shoot small in 1000 yard Benchrest. Sure, I'm sure we will see some guys running it with heavier 115 grain high BC bullets. But, on a nice calm morning, 9/10 guys...

    This. The only benefit a GT has over any of the BR variants is mag kits in the PRS world. Benchrest, I just don't see how it can come close to a dasher or ackley. I have a GT for my PRS rifle, and its only because of the mag kits.

    My conclusion reconfirms what we already know. Everyone should work up your own load in your own barrel. Powder varies from lot to lot, barrels varies from barrel to barrel.

    You know, I've thought about this a little Mike. I just recently got a FX120 scale, (Finally) I should measure some of those rounds I had loaded with N120 and see what they are measuring on my FX. I bet I haven't shot that gun in 6 months, to busy with 1000 yard BR and PRS shooting to even touch...

    Yes, 1:17 twist barrel is correct. Most, if not all guys shooting a 30BR, 30 Major, 30 PPC etc. are shooting either a 1:17 twist or 1:18 twist for the 110-120 grain bullets. Very uncommon to see someone with a 30BR and a faster twist.

    I agree. It would be a lot easier to buy Dasher brass and not have to worry about forming. I've basically convinced myself to switch my 2 rifles back to Dasher this fall. I'll probably buy 4 or 500 pieces and give it a go this winter.

    The exciting news is, our July match I'll have had two full months to do load development on my Neuvo with @JMP 6mm bullets he sent me weeks ago. Or, I'll procrastinate and spend all my free time shooting PRS matches, which is much more likely.

    @MikeMcCasland Have 85 rounds on my barrel now. Shooting 103 Vapor Trail Automated bullet. Interesting note, I shot up to 34.8 grains in the morning, cleaned the barrel and shot my next string which was 34.9 - 35.9. You could see the drop in velocity after cleaning barrel. It was a little cooler...

    I'm going to try N140. I have a good friend that swears by it in his 6.5x47, no reason it shouldn't work in this. I want to stay away from Varget, I don't want to have to rely on a powder that literally everyone has to have right now. I'll try N140 and H4895 in my GT. Should have it chambered...
