  1. The 'local' gun show

Yep. Is what a gun show should be. Take LOTS of money. There is more neat stuff at Tulsa than you'll probably find anywhere else.
  2. Going for a mile

This year's prairie dog shoot at 1 mile ( the rocks at the top of the picture ) .......... The rifle was a trued Remington long action converted to single shot in .300 Win Mag., Shilen 1/10 barrel shooting 175 grain TMK at 3205 fps ( bullet drop ballistic coefficient adjusted for the JBM...
  3. Fire forming to 223 AI

"No...no reason to. Unless you like cleaning COW out of a barrel. Load, go varmint or paper hunting." What he said!
  4. .300 Blackout

What he said above. This is mine. Love it. Hollywood quiet.
  5. 2000MR and 204Ruger

I'm using it in a 9 twist .223 with a 16" barrel. It shoots 69 grain SMK @ 2930 fps accurately without any high pressure signs. I like it.
  6. Accuracy from Hornady 75 Gr A-max------Anyone like this bullet?

My son used it to kill a PD this past June at 1033 yards. 8 twist Borden / Bartlein / AI / Jewell / NFO.
  7. Can't seem to put too much powder in this load??????

I first started using 2000-MR when I purchased a 16.5" Remington AAC-SD in .223. I am using 69 grain Sierra MK's, loaded to an overall length of 2.30" ( typical long throated Remington ). LC brass, Tula SRM primers. The load is 28.5 grains loaded through a long drop tube ( worked up to in .2...

  10. Looking For Gunsmith (Dogtown Varmint)

Yep, long gone, unfortunately. They were one of the first dedicated varmint / predator shooting entities. Sold lots of bullets, brass, and accessories. Also built dedicated varmint rifles. A buddy had one done ( also in .22-250 AI ) but unlike the other poster, his was sweet from the get-go...
  11. Member Ray in Wenatchee RIP!

  12. 22ppc 100 short barrel life

    Just ask them!!! ;D
  13. Opinions on bottom safety

They're about all I ever use anymore. I just like the way you can easily push them to "SAFE" with your trigger finger right there.
  14. 6mm 105 A-max

    My experience, also.
  15. Long range magpies with the 17 Rem

    Most excellent. Thanks. ;D
  16. Long range magpies with the 17 Rem

Nice shooting. A question, though: Aren't magpies a protected species?
  17. NF 2.5-10X32?

I started coyote hunting with guns scoped in the 6-20X magnification range. Over the years, I've adjusted the magnification down to 3.5 to 10X Leupolds and never felt under-scoped. Most of the time the scope is at 3.5 power, with the option to crank it up if they hang up way on out there. Heck...
  18. 20 PPC Gunsmith Recommendation

Kevin Weaver built mine and did a fine job.
  19. Reliable feeding of 6mm BR

Check out Mike Bryant's gunsmithing site. It shows how to modify the magazine box & follower for good BR feeding.
  20. Cooper Rifles

The only one that I actually ordered took 5 months ( a JSR in .17 HMR with upgraded wood / bolt handle / and fluted barrel ). The others I have bought off the shelf. I used First Stop Guns in Rapid City. They were great to work with.
