    I've used MR2000 with 69 grain Sierra's in a .223. 3000 fps in a 20" barrel with +/- 1/2" accuracy. I also used it in my son's .223 with 75 Hornady ELD's with similar accuracy - but - can't recall the speed ( 26" barrel ). I like it - good stuff.

  8. Carbon six prefit

    I have 2 Carbon Six prefit barrels, both in .223. Only 1 has been fitted - to an ARC Nucleus. It has been easily as accurate as the Proof's I have - and was easier and quicker to get. I have a prefit .22-250 fast twist currently on order. So far I am very pleased.

    Didn't Browning do a run of .222 in their BLR back in the 1970's ? Don't believe they did a .222 mag.

  14. Help with trigger on a Ruger Mk3

    I agree with the Volquartsen. Took me only 10 minutes to put the trigger in ( watching a You Tube video ) and over an hour putting the dang gun back together. Gotta love pre -Mk 4 Rugers...........:mad:

    Probably wouldn't be my first choice in caliber, but, it'll do.

    You might try using your seater die with the seating stem removed for the initial size down. It's worked for me on several smaller caliber downsizing efforts. Good luck.

    Kimber or Oregon ( the now defunct company ) made a production run of their Custom Classics in .25-20 ( single shot configuration ). Neat ( but pricey ) little guns.
