If you are getting a Rotex from Randy, it's about a 6 month wait. BUT, the quality and craftsmanship is second to none.Ordered a .22 from Killough (PQP) on a 2500 action. Any idea on time to get it done? They told me only hold up is a stock.
If the vendor/smith didn't have a timeline on the stock, the people who are building the rifle, why do you think there would be an answer here? Any answers you get here will be a guess or an opinion, unless the actual provider of the stock posts here, with the correct answer. Forums are good for a lot of things. Psychic predictions aren't one of them.Ordered a .22 from Killough (PQP) on a 2500 action. Any idea on time to get it done? They told me only hold up is a stock.

He told me stocks should be 1-2 months out. So the stock shouldn’t slow the build. I was looking for someone with a positive attitude that might have had a similar build. If the vendor/smith didn't have a timeline on the stock, the people who are building the rifle, why do you think there would be an answer here? These are first class offerings and since fairly new unlikely to have huge backlog.Personally, not a huge fan of laminate, these things are gorgeous.Unless you have to have a certain makers stock. Tony Harper is making stocks for 2500X. information is on RA site

The biggest wait is usually getting the parts, if there's a wait after that it's a back log of work. The actual time to do the work isn't long at all. Like a few hours here and there plus dry time for bedding.I should have looked further before creating my thread. I'm four months into my requested build. The shop had all the components four months ago, getting a straight answer on a completion date is difficult. I was told last week the machine work is done, it would be glass bedded over the weekend. To me that is like done? I called Tuesday and was told they have not completed all the paperwork for billing. I honestly don't know if that is long or about the time it takes.

you sent all your own parts and they wanted $4500.00 deposit just for labor?Sent on 7/24/2026 all components for a 6 Dasher build, stock, bat M action, FF trigger, 2 Brux 6MM barrels , March scope, and a $ 4500.00 Dollar deposit and all i have are crickets. shame on me.
Yes just one rifle..... that should read sent on 7/24.2023 not 2026you sent all your own parts and they wanted $4500.00 deposit just for labor?

That’s Criminal if this has been going on two and a half years.Talk to the builder and see what's up.
Some have a large back log also some do it on the side so with those 2 factors you can get long wait times.
The actual time to build the gun depends on what's all needing to be done but like 12 hrs of labor would be lots.
There's no way anyone is paying or charging 4500 for rifle assembly. Something is missing here.
I feel the same way, made a mistake when dealing with this person, maybe it will get done someday soon. I am reluctant to push the issue because what quality will i get if i do ?That’s Criminal if this has been going on two and a half years.
A nice polite conversation might get it pulled off the back burner and back on his mind.I feel the same way, made a mistake when dealing with this person, maybe it will get done someday soon. I am reluctant to push the issue because what quality will i get if i do ?
Looks really nice!! Who built itGot this one (2500x) back yesterday. Took 5-weeks. Very happy with the build. NOW...to see how it shoots. I have several lots of Midas+ and X-Act to try out. I went the cheaper route this time. Installed a Criterion blank from Whidden. Carrie told me in their test range these later Criterion barrels are shooting extremely well...soooo I decide to try one. Stock is a Jack's Mountain Stock Company 3" bench rest. 2500x from Killough, and a Jewell trigger. Will see...lol!
