Actually they got elected strictly because they dislike Trump. Especially after.his screwing with them about making them a 51st state. So they hated him enough to elect this screwball liberal.
The last thing the USA needs is that socialized medicine mess, a country whose treatment of indigenous people makes the USA pale in comparison,and who relies on us for military protection free of charge.
When I left in 1963 it was a great country. When I returned even the flag changed. By 1968 I was gone for good.
Between 20-40,000 Canadians ( myself included) left and joined the US Military to fight in VietNam. Therefore I don’t dislike them I just question their thought process

Easier said than done. I'm in WI. and we are closer to becoming Illinois and Minnesota every day. So many morons in this country it's unimaginable. Glad that I'm and old man. The country that I grew up in is gone. I'm fighting the fight but it doesn't look good.

Thread 'Canadian Govt abolishes Long Gun Registry'

To my American buddies, that noise you may have just heard in your attic was the Conservative Canadian Government voting to abolish the Long Gun Registry. Purchases of what are considered to be "normal" hunting and target rifles and shotguns no longer have to phoned in to a database in a central registry. The Act also destroys previous registration records.

Canadian firearms owners still require a personal firearms licence (PAL), must own a PAL to buy ammunition and handguns must still be registered. Handguns can only be used for target practise at a gun club.
