Honestly, I am not going to lie. Initially, I had my doubts on how effective a 17 caliber 30gr bullet at 3,450fps would be on our Ohio coyotes.

Nice vid. keep shots under 200 yards as you pushing the cases effective range. As for second coyote I call that a no no! you just end up crippling runners and no reason to be sloppy about it..
But if you think that F.B. is something you should see what a 17 Pred. does with a 30 gr.

I keep coyotes at 250 max with the 17 Hornet, provided you can hit the vitals,no getaways,not advisable for average shooters,must be considerably an above average shooter who practices relentlessly,thing hit golf balls consistently at 250 yards. Go hunting.Longer ranges pack a 204.

Most times the 30 gr. don't exit even with the 17 Predator. to find entrance hole usually have to lay coyote down on hit side and wait for blood to come out at some point in time.

In the past id toyed with a building a 17 predator but the availability of 30s (golds) went out the door, essentially taking away what the 17 predator would offer.
