New Texas Trifecta VFS

If you live anywhere near the DFW area and shoot VFS, we invite you to participate in our little 3 range Grand Slam event.
It is open to all legal VFS rifles, and will be shot at 3 different ranges in North Texas on 3 different days.

North Texas Shooter Association 100/200 yards
Ennis Gun Club 100/200 yards
Arlington Sportsman Club 100 yards

All legal VFS rifles are allowed to shoot (13.5 pound, 3" forearm, unlimited optics, and 338 or smaller caliber)
Targets will be either NBRSA or IBS 100 or 200 VFS targets.

5/09/26 - Ennis Gun Club 1113 Cutoff Rd Ennis, TX 75119

6/27/26 - Arlington Sportsman Club 11500 County Road 525 Mansfield TX 76063

Entry Fee: Preregistration not required. $25 at NTSA and EGC. $10 at ASC
Check in: Starts at 7:00 am and ends at 8:00 am. We start shooting as soon as we all are ready.
Scoring: Best edge scoring on each target. Total score (all 5 yardages) for over all winner
Total X count is 1st tie breaker, 1st match X count is 2nd tie breaker, 2nd match X count 3rd tie breaker, etc
Time limit: First match of each yardage will be a 10 min match (no warm up) all others will be 7 min timed matches.
Trophies: Custom made Texas Trifecta trophies will be handed out to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd at ASC after the match.

The format will be the standard 5 matches per yardage ( meaning a possible 250 points at each yardage)


North Texas Shooter Association will have two yardages...... 100/200 yards
Ennis Gun Club will have two yardages......100/200 yards
Arlington Sportsman Club will have just one yardage......100 yards

Thank you, yes that's what I needed to know.

I am going to try to shoot the matches and was thinking about round count. Looks like 50 record shots plus sighters for the first two.

Are most people preloading?

Occasionally someone will load at the range, but those are the folks that usually shoot the 6ppc and not the 30br.

Yes... 50 record shots plus your unlimited sighters for 2 of the 3 matches..... half of that for ASC.

The trophies are being finalized as I speak and they are most certianly 1 of a kind. They will look great on any trophy shelf.
