Seeking Experienced Reloaders for Structured Load Development Logic Validation

PrecisionLoad Forum Logo.png

Hello, I am a benchrest shooter and avid reloader and I’ve just completed a 3-app precision load development system designed specifically for serious reloaders.

The system integrates:

• Chronograph data analysis (node detection + velocity plateau logic)
• Target image measurement and group analytics
• Structured LD workflow (coarse → fine → verification phases)
• Environmental data logging
• Garmin Xero import support
• Diagnostic scoring engine

This is not a generic ballistic calculator.
It’s a structured decision engine designed around repeatability and stability.

I’m opening a limited external TestFlight group (50 seats max) for experienced reloaders who:

• Develop loads using chrono data
• Understand ES/SD and node theory
• Shoot structured ladders
Are willing to provide detailed feedback

If interested, comment or DM or email me at sendit@choice-tactical.com and include:

• What discipline you shoot (BR / PRS / F-Class / etc.)
• What chrono you use
• Years reloading

This is Phase 1 validation before public launch.

Looking forward to serious input.

Fair point — and I appreciate you calling that out.

You get early access to a structured load development engine before it goes public, direct influence on how the node logic behaves, and a chance to see if it agrees with (or challenges) your own methodology.

If it’s wrong, you get to tell me why.
If it’s right, you get to say you helped validate it before anyone else touched it.

This isn’t a casual beta. It’s a logic validation cohort.

Phase 1 testers will receive:
• Complimentary Pro access for the first year after launch

If that’s interesting to you, I’d value your input.

If that’s not valuable to you, I understand.

Thank you for your reply !

Sounds way to complicated. I know what a small group looks like.

I was thinking the same thing. I'll get out the popcorn when you guys that contribute start providing feedback on the effectiveness of this app or program. I think the many variables we run into working up a load are not repeatable for the masses in a manner that anyone (or any app) can definitively provide a solution for a given problem. I guess there has to be an app for everything. How else would our youth figure anything out?

You lost a lot of us as soon as you mentioned "velocity plateau."

Chronographs are incredibly helpful devices, but using them to find an accurate load is, for many of us, not a thing. I call that approach "shooting into a bucket."

Everything you need to know is downrange, at the target.

I have experience, and what I am doing works well. If I were supplied the barrel, bullets, powder, primers. I would donate a free chamber job toward your project and my time to give you input. I really like seeing new ideas come into the marketplace, but I have never volunteered my time and resources just for " Kicks "..........But , best of luck with your project.

Regards
Rick

thank you very much for your time and feedback. The idea was never for anyone here to dedicated there time and resources to ONLY text the app. The idea was for people that might already have plans to work on a load, to just take there results they would do and put them into the app to see the analysis the app gives, and the suggestions it gives and compares that to what you might have concluded without it. Also, the app itself for people that are very experienced it a great place to also keep all the immense details of the load development process stored. where the app shines if the cross analysis when you feed it information from a COARSE Powder Charge test, the a FINE, then a Seat Depth test, neck Tension and it takes all of that information to five you a PRO REPORT of multiple test if you needed all of them. I am working on one of my own load developments for a 6GT I just built. I am in the first phase of ladder test. I will be doing a verification test on 2 powder charges tomorrow. When I entered them into the app with pictures of target Groups it will take the results of both test and give an analysis and suggestions if needed. I wish I could show more screen shots, but it only allows me 6. I just thought I would share so you can get a little insite of the app.

I thought I would also share a couple of the other features the app does. It does does not just analysis chronograph data, it also analysis target data. From there is will use both and give you its recommendations. Also, the TARGET portion of the app makes you a custom target to shoot as. If you have an ink jet printer, you can print any size your printer is capable of. I have a printer that prints 13x19, so I just got from Amazon some cream color cardstock and that is what I print on. You a see it collects all your load data info, and Pre Fills it into the target design. I made this app new addition to the app suite after I did this powder charge ladder so you do not see it in my pictures below, but I will be using it tomorrow on my next test at the range.

Ah. An application [I hate the shortened 'app'] that takes input, organizes it and provides a useful output.
That could be interesting. For the me the app [I mean application] would need to run on a pc. Phone interfaces are awkward at best.

I know I and I think several/many others were initially thinking the idea was to create some equipment/instrumentation to measure things.

That is the idea. Once the app is up and running. It will be converted to a WEB BASED app where it can be run on a computer also. For me Having my phone at the range, entering the info, capturing the the target info at the range processing the analysis and even taking the results and reloading onsite with the findings is awesome. I am a Mac person, so I have the app on my iPhone and iPad, I am working on the Cloud kit which will share all the data across all platforms. So all of this is in the process, but I need to look in the core functionality of the apps themself first But thank you for all the insite you have provided. It is never taken lightly.

I read that and it just left me thinking "wtf?" and scratching my head.

Danny

It seems like you've already boxed in your approach with biases.
Your benchrest perspectives (group delusions & reliance on pre-conditions) will hurt your chances of success for this.

Boyd, IME everybody that competes seriously knows how to develop ammunition and tune their gear so to suggest only winners know the answers might be a bit skewed.

@bjkiefer you’ve obviously put a lot of effort into your program, thanks for sharing.

Jim
Agreed, but if you are going to study someone, why not the best. Of course you are correct, anyone who does reasonably well in competition has to have a system that works. Typically, in the short range game the ability to read flags is the biggest variable.
