Anyone on here have one. I understand they have updated the priming system, tool head, etc. I’d be interested to hear your thoughts. I’m looking to make 223. Probably run it manually initially. It seems to me, compared to the Dillon 1100, for 250 bucks more the apex is a better option. But I’d like to hear from people with real experience. Thanks.

The 1250 looks promising, I agree. That’s what I’m talking about, looks like Dillon is solving the problem that mark 7 already does? The 1250 will probably be more than the apex!?! In your opinion how important are hold down dies on priming stations? How much value do you put on the extra stations? I’ve spoken multiple times with both companies, both “seem” very available and knowledgeable? Please advise

I cant answer on the hold down due to prime except it wouldn't hurt to use one , and extra stations would depend I guess on how serious you get as there are various sensors and gadgets that can be add I believe , like powder lockout dies , primers kickers , power reamers and so on . Sorry I don't have a better answer for this

It seems to me, loading 223, it’s really the only sensible option?

Dillon 1100 has the powder throw in #5, do a powder check in #6, bullet feed in #7. You’re stuck seating and crimping in the seater die with the last hole, #8. Seems like a bad move with bulk brass varying +/- .007 for crimping with a seater die. A Lee factory crimp die would be my preference.

Looked at it a ton of ways. Wish I was wrong. Like Dillon auto driver better and Dillon stuff is less expensive. Lotta money to immediately wish for more!
