.223 Remington commercial ammo.

The wonderful thing its Lapua brass!! Bang now its fire formed to your chamber!!! It's a win win.
Last i checked Lapua brass is like .80 per so its really only 1.20 per bang. Do some girl math with powder, bullet and primer and you are getting payed to shoot it!!!!!!!

edit: I was referencing the original post #1, Berger ammo uses Lapua brass, didn't mean to confuse anyone sorry.

The brass in the Frontier ammo in post 21 is Lapua?

I would Love to see, an accuracy Test between, the 73 gr Berger .223 Ammo and Frontier's, 75 gr BTHP Match Ammo using, a seriously accurate, Bolt action Rifle. I've watched a Ton of AR's and VERY Few, impress Me !
I'm planning on buying my son a .223 Tikka later, this year and he doesn't really have, the Time for, Handloading right, now.
Thinking that, the Frontier 75 gr. Ammo will Be, real "Close", in the Accuracy Dept. and very Affordable, Play Ammo.

I may do that. I have always found the Frontier to be hot, seems to have changed a bit over the years. I've seen some LC stamped brass and some stamped Frontier. Color of primer has changed get too. I have some of the Berger 77gr ammo, some of the Frontier 75 and a 223 Tikka with a 7.5 twist Bartlien. I may have to do a comparison.

I was asked if I still had this picture from a few years ago.
This target (shot before I bought my ShotMarker) was shot at 200 yards, 15 rounds with an UrbanRifleman 169 ISSF barrel.

This ammo has been very accurate for me when I am too lazy to hand load.

Quarter for reference and no it is not hiding any holes.... :)

that Berger ammo goes along nicely with the NF scopes

Enjoyable part for me is that I worked for over 60 years and started out putting bucks away for retirement and worked until I was 75 now I get to enjoy things and not have to worry about how much something costs. That is the least of my worried. Whatta Hobby!
somehow at 40/box that 223 seems cheap.. afterall berger 300 WM double that and berger 338 lapua —135. about 7/rnd.

Was watching a recent video on UR and decided to try some of this Berger ammo for one of my 1/4" 10 dot challenge projects. Supposed to be the most accurate available. Anybody else vouch for that? Whatta Hobby!

looks good- when i get a really accurate 223 rifle i will try it. But—— I think what berger really should do is make 6br ammo. Inless it makes it harder/ more expensive to get 6mm bullets. o_O

Then you get into the deal where you’re not really supposed to shoot .556 ammo in a .223.

By even inferring there needs to be a "comparison" between $15 ammo and $50? ammo says to me that the Frontier is already shooting way above its pay grade.

Btw: Berger doesn't make 6br ammo because Nammo already makes the best 6br ammo on the planet, it's called Lapua. (My Add: And they wouldn't want anyone to find out that Scenars might be the best bullets on the planet.)

So have you fired the Berger ammo yet or are you still caught in snow drifts?
Still caught in the snow. Supposed to get up to 50 tomorrow so I may have time to take the loader out and clear a walking path to the target stand. Did have time to mount a new Shilen 26" barrel in .223. Ought to be a good test if I ever get around to it. Whatta Hobby!
