Sinclair Competition rest?

Ask Sinclair.

You do realize that Sinclair International was bought out years ago by Brownell's, don't you?

It's not like the old days when you had a technical question, and you spoke to a fellow competition shooter or a smith/machinist who was knowledgeable with the product line.

I'm STILL kind of (kind of is an understatement) pissed off that Brownells "goofed up" Sinclair like that. Is anyone else?

The Competition Rest or parts have not been available for several years. I was told the small machine shop that made them for Sinclar was sold right when Browells bought out Sinclare and the new shop owner had no interest in making them. Plus, Brownells had little or no interest in pursuing a new source. This came from someone inside direct to me a while ago. I had a problem with mine, tore it apart and had a friend with a lathe who made me what I needed. Plus the was no lubrication on the inner working I had to have made, now there is lube. Also replace the shiny spring with an old Panda spring which gave be more range of motion, but it was tough to get it back together with the much stronger spring, you need a guy with strong hands for that.

The last catalogue Sinclair printed, for some reason they sent me two. I gave one to a friend but would not part with the one I have left.
