Sunday a pal got a cougar in his bobcat trap.
Cant trap lions out here.
Called Fish n game as they are responsible for darting and releasing it after a biologist takes what they need to record it, tag it's ear etc.
Took 1.5hrs to finally get them on the phone as it's Sunday, took another 2hrs for them to show up 100 miles from Laramie.
4 showed up in 2 trucks, got them to lion, darted it, took forever for lion to pass out and collect data.
140lb male, after recovery, medicine to paws it stumbled off like a drunk.
Darn lion cutting into trap checking time.

What make and number trap was he using? Good springs and jaws to hold that extra large "bobcat!"

I would have had to have him stretched out with two long ropes on front and rear legs in case he did wake up.
