Meehl Solutions powder dispenser

Why do these companies consider a location and phone number guarded secrets?.....that is a rhetorical question.
I don't understand why you seem like their contact info is a secret?
If you click the website link above you will see immediately he's located in Portland Oregon and his email is also there. When you click his contact link you will have his phone number and a form to contact him if you desire.
He doesn't seem to have any "guarded secrets". If you want to see a website with no phone contact then here's one:
I really wanted to spend over $1800 here on their new rimfire barreled action but they wanted to play email games. No deal!

Looks like you pasted a response to a different thread here?

No skin in the game, just putting this out there for consideration.

As soon as I tried to watch the video, Fakebook wanted me to allow trackers and when I clicked “Don’t Allow” the damn thing just stoped and reset…
Video not on his website, just a picture of his powder thrower but since he is someone that FC John knows then perhaps we may in the near future see a “Demo” on his site…
Again, looks to be another printed plastic device trying to beat IP to the marketplace…
Still living in hope that I will still be living when Paul finally gets his machined product out into the real world…

This thing looks like a winner to me. Especially if it handles the powders mentioned in their marketing well!

Also, at less than half the price of the IP System, and at this point a statistical probability that it will land on my bench sooner, I may well just elect NOT to fulfill my IP preorder when it’s ready in 2029!

Anyone else place an order on this Meeh Solutions system?? I’m order #204.

I don’t want to get my hopes up, but from everything I’m seeing, this system appears poised to make a pretty BIG impact on precision powder dispensing “market”. Specifically powder systems that integrate with a precision analytical balance like the FX-120i.

There are precious few options in that space and each have their own set of pros and cons…

SuperTrickler: Highly configurable and operates with many different powers. Can be fast as hell, but requires CONSTANT tweaking of settings and menu diving madness. Perfect if dispensing powder is actually your hobby and you want to “nerd out” on every little detail of that operation. Way too expensive, and it’s the brainchild of two somewhat difficult “engineer types” from opposite ends of the word, making purchase, ownership experience and warranty service a veritable nightmare. Not recommended.

AutoTrickler V4: Simple and elegant. Reliable as hell and very well built. Sure to last a long time. Not the fastest, also not forgiving of people who don’t read instructions or follow directions. Not expensive at all and it is readily available and backed up by solid support. Recommended.

IP System: (Not yet available). No one knows if it really ever will be available. When/if it ever hits the streets, it appears to basically be similar to this new contender (Meehl Solutions), just built better (aluminum vs plastic) and is not a fully integrated unit so ultimately it’s a larger footprint. Also, it’s super expensive. The design and execution of the tricker, and the hype surrounding the complete system can’t be denied though. Recommended (that you don’t get your hopes up!).

Printed Precision: the “PP-Trickler” has the best name of all of them. Sadly, I think that’s really the only thing it has going for it. It may just be that the Meehl Solutions becomes what the PP-Trickler tried to be. At this point “PP” should probably ditch the version they’ve been pushing, and shoot for a redesign of their concept. It does appear to have some potential. Execution on the other hand seemed to not be the strong suit of this one. It’s by far the cheapest option in the space at “only” $350. But at only 50 bux more, the Meehl Solutions system appears poised to essentially just completely eclipse the PP-Trickler. Not recommended.

Meehl Solutions: New kid on the block and looks like it could be a real game changer to me. If it does what it says, for the price they’re asking, then it’s simply going to probably be the best option. The design looks smart and clean. It appears well executed and there seems to be transparency and efficiency on the part of the designer (seen all that before). Recommended (with the appropriate amount of skepticism)

The honorable mentions to the space would be the “Franken-Systems” like the V3/IP combo, other pieced together bulk/trickler combos that people print or cobble together themselves, and of course the open source print-in-your-garage systems like OpenTrickler.

I can’t think of any other relevant, currently marketed precision powder dispensers that utilize an integrated analytical balance such as the A&D FX-i scales. If there are others, or something was missed I’m sure I’ll be corrected. Someone’s surely going to mention the Prometheus but this post really isn’t about that. Not a part of the conversation and really not even something the avg reloader would ever consider.

As it sits right now, it’s my opinion that the best choice someone could make, if purchasing a powder system today, is the ATV4. All day long. Too much good going for that system. This new thing from Meehl Solutions does look really, really impressive to me. Just too early to know if it’s going to live up to what’s being promised. The IP system, as amazing as it seems, has sadly taken on a somewhat mythological attribute at this point. Everybody wants one (do they still?) but literally no one can get one. At this point it’s so late to the game, the price-point doesn’t seem to match the promise (to me). I honestly can’t say for certain right now that I’d drop a thousand bux on one, if it came available today.

Like a great many good ideas that come out of this industry, there are some folk that are business savvy, some that aren't. Lots of good products that appear and disappear and never really made it on to the open market over the years. Lot are from retired folk that haven't got the interest in building up a company too, only sold by word of mouth, once they go, the product disappears. Lots of induction annealer ideas around too, only a couple really on the market so far, one is too new to judge. Adam already had a name in the shooting world built up, and had commited himself to the V4, that is a large part of his business, it was pretty much ready to rock when he released it though, he was careful on that. IP may be a writeoff at this point, I expect he is trying to do too many things on his own. We'll see how this fella does, hope he does well.

Whoever on here gets their hands on the Meehl Solutions trickler first.. please post a review!

I just snagged a deal on a FX-iWP balance in anticipation of this product. That gray system should look badass on that gray balance… lol!

That is going to look snazzy with the grey! I look forward to some photos when you get a unit!

Also as a FYI to the group the FX120i is being phased out and discontinued by A&D and we will be moving over to the FX123 in the next year or so.
