Val @ Valdada retire?

I imagine one of you will know but I was told Val at Valdada optics has retired. I’ve had a few Valdada optics and was sad to learn this. I’ve had a few conversations with Val, he was helpful. I’ve always felt Valdada optics were a good value and innovative. Hopefully the new guy takes the company in a positive direction. Here is what I was told.

“Val did retire. Ean Kincade is the new owner. Great guy to deal with. A gunsmith by trade and worked with Val for a couple years back in 2013 or so.”

Yes, Val did retire. I actually bought my G2 Mini from him while they were loading everything in Ean's trailer.
I've known Val for a long time also. I bought my Original Recon from Val many years ago. It was nice having him just a couple miles from my house.

I currently have a Gen 1 Redon for sale, I might rethink that. It’s neat scope.

I always enjoyed Val, I hope his next stage of life is awesome, he deserves it.

A little off topic about retirement but has anyone had experience with dealing with IOR in Romania directly? A fellow local shooter has an optic that he is thinking about selling and I love everything about the scope but I'm just leery if there is any issues with it that I won't have support state side.
