WANTED Ruger 44 mag carbine

90% sure he wants the Deerslayer semi-auto Carbine. Nice little guns. There’s a bunch on Gunbroker for a small fortune. I have one. I don’t shoot it much because it only holds 3-4 rounds and if something breaks, parts are hard to find. I’d suggest you look at the new Ruger/Marlin Lever 1894 in 44 Magnum. 14 round capacity and a slick little action. I love mine!

I have a buddy that has one, his is a slick shooting little piece. Always wanted one, and have looked at them many times on Gunbroker, just hate to pay what they're asking. Good luck, hope you find a nice one at a decent price.

Yes semi auto
Just some friendly advice, relating to the original vintage versions, as this is somewhat common...(Speaking from personal experience and cost)
Look carefully at the bottom of the stock, in front of and behind the action screw area, as these stocks can tend to have a hairline split due to the action screw not being tightened enough, allowing the recoil to create a split stock. The walnut stock can shrink and create the loose action screw, and/or the recoil from shooting it can do the same. This can typically be easily repaired. And you can reinforce the stock proactively, if you prefer, with a good bedding job to avoid having it split. GLWYSearch

thanks i’ll make it a priority to check for cracks. I’ve had a few of these Rifles years ago and yes, they have a tendency to split. Thanks again.
