Boyd's Walnut stocks

I have purchased a fair share of Boyd's laminate stocks. I like the shape of them, and their pricing isn't too bad. I think I would like to get a Walnut stock from them, but I'm worried about the quality.

I haven't really seen any examples of Walnut stocks from Boyd's. Can any of you guys share pictures, if you have a Boyd's walnut stock?

Any opinions?

The ones I have used are equal in quality as his laminated ones. They are just a plain piece of Walnut with no figure.
I trust the strength of walnut over laminate in the grip area. Never had a Boyd's break but did on some F class stocks by another manufacture.

Several years ago I sent them a walnut blank to use with their pattern on a .22 The inletting was disappointing. I had to do quite a lot of work that I wasn't expecting, and I'm not an expert inletter.
So just my for what it's worth.

From what I have seen, I would maybe pay extra for the Xclaro, but the XXClaro doesn't seem to be worth the extra cost.

Even just the plain walnut looks pretty decent.

I don't understand why Boyd's doesn't have a gallery with images of the walnut examples.

Here is one I did for a client. For the money I wish it had a little better figure but it turned out nice. I would do a fancy walnut from Richards but I don't do checkering. Nice checkering really brings a stock together and Boyds does do a nice job on that. I have an extra fancy on order right now for my father in law. We will see how that one looks. It should be showing up any day now.

That actually looks really sharp with the carbon barrel. I was thinking of ordering the Fleur De Lis skip line pattern. Which grade Walnut is that?

I keep looking at this rifle, I want one just like it. Everything about it is beautiful. Can't go wrong with the Leupold glass.

I have a Boyd's Pro Varmint laminate. I didn't mind the little bit of fitting left to do, especially since I was bedding and adding pillars. Opened up the barrel channel and had a bit of trouble getting the mag to latch properly, but in the end it has worked well for me.
