.223 Rem AR accuracy at 300-500 yards?

I built one with a white oak armament barrel like 15 years ago. 24" 1-8 bull for coyote hunting. I didn't like carrying it around so I ended up selling it a couple years ago and found a Spade Composites carbon fiber 18" for a good deal. I will say, that WOA barrel would shoot dimes with 55 grain V-Max. The guy I sold it to said he started using 69 matchkings in it and showed me some pictures of some amazing groups.

You should be just dandy out to 400yds with the 223/5.56 and an appropriate gr weight with something your barrel likes.

Throw on some A2 sights and 400 yds is extremely gratifying.

Depends on your expectations as to how "good" it shoots....
Id try 69 SMK, 77 SMK. If you are a handloader try 80 g. SMK loaded long (single shot)
there are plenty of AR service rifle shooters that can hit a 10 ring at 600 yds. In a sling. Some even use a scope
