High pressure, light load 6.5-06 AI

I just rechambered a creedmoor to a 6.5-06 Ackley. 50 gr IMR 4350 pushing a 140. Bought some inexpensive PPU 25-06 brass. Fire formed with RL19 (then ran out). Loaded a few after forming , went to the range and experienced way too high of pressure. Blew one primer. Can see the ejector imprint. Any ideas? I have some Lapua brass that I’m going to load and try also. Maybe someone has a good load recipe? Thanks. IMG_3914.jpeg

Whats your chamber neck dia?
Are you neck turning brass?
What primer are you using?
I load for 2 with H1000 Berger 140's and fireform all the brass from 06 Lapua

What was your velocity? In any case you are hot and I would back it down at least a grain and see how she does. The 6.5-06AI has always been a fantastic and very accurate cartridge for me but I have always used H4831 and slower for best results.

Neck loaded is .2885. Fired is .2950. Use WLR primers. Unturned necks.

Do you have a starting load recommendation for 4831?

Lapua us just better brass in all aspects, I also try and avoid necking up when possible even though I do for my 30-28 necking down instead of up helps alot with donuts at the neck shoulder junction, by the way are you seating into a donut?
If you have a guage pin run it down the neck after sizing if it stops you have donuts in the bottom of your necks

No donuts that I can feel. I'm going to try 45 gr 4350 and see where that goes. Looking at the A-square load data that 243winxb shared. Check velocity this time.

You won't feel them untill there really bad. If your not seating in the donut area nothing to worry about i dont because I have .130 freebore in my reamer but the A square reamer only has about .050.
I run the 2 i load for at 3120 and 3130 so those velocities are way off.
