It makes perfect sense to me on varmint rifles where barrels get hot in the sun with high volume shooting on a dog town. Can swap barrels fast when they get hot without the need to place the barrel in a vice or use of an action wrench. It can be done…but why? It solves a problem that didn’t exist. I tried like hell to talk a customer out of doing one last year and in the end he took it somewhere else…I was fine with it.
Good pointMy answer to that would be you need multiple rifles, not barrels that likely will have slightly different zeros.
I get your point and in my mind, still not ideal.
