Thinking of buying a borescope. Was looking at Teslong NTG200H for $225. Is it any good or should I look at something else?

Personally, I think even the cheap Teslong borescopes sold on Amazon for around $60 are plenty, especially for a new user.
There is a learning curve to be able to interpret what you are seeing. And be prepared to see things you didn't expect.
I would avoid the Lyman models. I've nothing nice to say about those.

Bought mine in 2024. I had an issue and working with Teslong determined it was defective. I went through a return process and purchased a second unit. It has worked just fine. I like the fact that you are able to focus this unit not stuck with an default image.

i picked up the lyman a couple of weeks ago, seems pretty decent, i like the fact its wireless

I bought a Lyman couple years ago. I don’t use it often but it works great for me. I check for cleanliness, throat wear and always check out a used barrel that I’m thinking about buying.

This is the one I ordered/rec'd late January '25, the rigid rod will NOT fit a 20 cal bore as advertised, but this did not bother me much as I have a couple of the 45" flexible versions I prefer anyways. I had the 4 or 4.5" monitor version before the 5" version and the only reason I got a new one was the internal battery died/wouldn't hold a charge on the 4-4.5" version. The old one held up well, no complaints, the battery just die and I upgraded to the 5" and the rigid rod to try it out since it stated it would fit a 20 cal. The flexible shaft one connected to the 5" monitor w/o issue, so I'm good. LOL

When it comes to bore scopes, IMHO the right frame of mind when using it is just as important as the hardware itself. Having said that, Teslongs are good.

I have the $50 Teslong borescope and it works great. When you're ordering a borescope be sure to order more gun cleaning supplies. All the years you thought your bores were clean? With a borescope you'll see that they probably weren't. But they are a great tool.

I bought my first Teslong a number of years ago it was the basic flexible one that plugs in to my laptop. Liked it so much I bought another one shortly after but that one was the rigid shaft one and it too plugs in to my laptop.

Getting the little mirror thing on the end focused and set took a couple tries but it's very simple and easy. Try not to touch the mirror with your fingers so it doesn't transfer any oil from your skin and leave a smudge mark on the mirror as well as any oil on the mirror can make things stick to it. That little mirror is tiny and can be a bit of a PITA to clean but keep it clean because if it's not it'll affect your image quality.

Once you get the mirror focused perfectly the image quality is quite good especially when you consider they don't really cost very much.

Same here. I also have rigid shaft usb, but very seldom use it.

Not sure where to post this comment. Chose this thread simply because it's fairly recent.

A discovery for me.
For many months now the image in my Teslong was really fuzzy - I was jealous of the sharp pics others posted. I've been fiddling with it try to improve the focus and cleaning/recleaning the mirror.
Today, I got to wondering about camera lens. After taking the mirror off, the lens was filthy! Took several swabs with alcohol and, then, with electrical contact cleaner.
What a difference!

Not for $50-100. No borescope for you...

I believe the Hawkeye is US made. When they pop up in the classifieds they're around $800, but prices seem to be dropping slowly. Unsure if they're still being made.

Brownells used to sell the Hawkeye Precision Borescopes, but now sell only 2 Teslong.

A Google search for the Hawkeye revealed nothing.
