Nut for older 3 hole Lee turret press

Hi. I've been trying to fix an old 3 hole turret press from Lee. I'm missing the nut for the bolt shown in the marked square in the attached picture.

In the newer presses it's listed as a 7/16x20 nut. However, that nut is too large for the press and trying a 3/8-24 nut, it seems to fit but won't screw on. I'd look for a 3/8x20, but now I want to be sure as I'm running around trying different sizes. Does anyone know the correct size nut for this older 3 hole press?

It may be time for a thread gage. Or if you can determine the diameter of the bolt, replace it with a new bolt the same diameter and length with a thread you can find a nut for. Also get a nylok nut so you don't lose it again.
