I currently have a 8x32x56 NF in MOA. I was looking at Zero Compromise, Kalhes, and Tangent. What would be a scope which will give me the best service. Do I need a scope in Mildot? Thanks

You should take a look at the Vortex Gen 3 Razor 6-36 also. Excellent optic.

You don’t have to use mils if you didn’t want to but most shooters use it and they will give their wind calls in mils most time after shooting but you can convert it to moa easily enough. They both work the same but just a different number for dialing or holds.

If it were me, I'd take a look into March Scopes offerings - First
ZCO and Tangent are head to head - i think it would be good to youtube some reviews though as I believe Tangent takes the lead there for some aspect I forget why, but its gnats hairs.
A lot of the differences in top teir scopes are also more ergo's and user preference features
such as Kahles reverse direction CCW turrets
Don't forget IOR
--------------
I own a Kahles and really like it, I bought it for being robust, a field scope, no brass, no plastic
Steel internals and tungsten balls for the detents, for ELR I am a turret twister.
---so the Kahles is great other than one thing
After 400-600 yds - the Focus - (parallax adjustment on the side) really does nothing further
I like to be able to adjust Focus at 2000 yds
The Kahles did not allow this, basically it is in focus and parallax free from about 400 yds on out
Some experts say - this is an attribute of a high quality optic
If that is true, then I guess I should not complain.
But I am used to my being able to perfectly dial in focus at 1 Mile such as with my B&L scopes
not that the image is at all fuzzy with the Kahles, it's just that even at 1000 yds, the parallax could be dialed in on the 600 yd mark, and you would not notice any difference from if you turned it to infinity.
Someone pointed out that if you are jumping back and forth between yardages, you can set parallax at 400 yds and jump back and forth between that and 1000 and not have to readjust the parallax
This is true, and I do like it for that aspect, I really do not have to adjust parallax back and forth.
-------------
But with the Parallax - Hard to explain but, say at 2000 yds, I like to be able to adjust focus PAST where it is sharp at the distance, and adjust further toward infinity to where the image is fuzzy again
then dial back to sharp again,
So for this feature, I would not choose the Kahles
I even sent my Kahles back to Austria factory asking them to allow/ put in, more parallax adjustment
They must have laughed not understanding that some of us...........shoot wayyyyyy past 1000 yds
and sent it back to me untouched - not even cleaned
They must have done their in house function test and called it good according to their standards
But the Kahles glass is amazing for my eyes - it will literally see right through mirage
------------
You might ask Eric Cortina how he likes the Kahles 5-40

March is what I would choose.
This place gives free 2 day shipping and they give an additional 10% off either code SH10
Not sure when it ends. Mine shipped next day. 2 day air and came with a free t shirt.

Just getting started. Thanks

Well then you will have many more hurdles to jump before your glass will ever be an issue. If you are independently wealthy and can swing the best of the best then have at it but if you are stretching it to get there then I would recommend a more mid price range and spend the rest on ammo and practice. You will need to get good at time conservation, movement and shooting off props. All of which are more important than buying the most expensive scope. Just something to think about.

My name is Brandon Rudge and I am the designer of the FML-WBR reticle and behind much of the March 5-42 Gen 2 PRS edition. The March has done very well already in the prs and many top competitors are switching from other brands. I would be glad to assist anyone who is looking to order or has questions.

As Denys has already eluded to PRSTF is not an authorized dealer for March products. Please feel free to reach out to me on here if you have questions or are looking to procure the March scope.

Welcome. You need to talk to your company about their warranty though as its not very good in today’s market. It’s better than it once was when at 5 years but 10 years from manufacturer and only two years on electronics is not good for an expensive optic. If that scope sits on the shelf a year before you buy it then you are down to 9 years of warranty and only one year on electronics. Should be 10 years/2 years from purchase at least.

And for the “the best warranty is the one you never have to use” crowd who always jumps in, that’s true until you do have to need it. PRS rifles and scopes are used hard so being confident in your ability to fix any issues is important.

The new March-FX 5-42X56 Gen 2 PRS edition with the FML-WBR is THE hot ticket now. PRSTF is NOT listed as an authorized March reseller, just FYI.
They’ve sold loads of them on Snipershide . Not a single complaint. There’s actually now a waitlist

10 years is actually the standard for several optics manufacturers and has been for many years. For example Kahles, Swaro, Steiner (some), Eotech, and S&B both have the exact same warranty.

Many others also limit to 2 years on electronics… outside of the brands that have so much profit built into the scope they can give you 3 free and still be ahead.

So wouldn’t you want to be better than others for your customers? Hey just giving my opinion in that I wouldn’t spend $4000 on a scope that gets limited support.

This is my recommendation as well. I have four and absolutely love them. Vortex has great people and great service.
Personally, after a recent experience with them, March would be bottom of the list.
After Vortex I would likely go with ZCO.
Mil turrets and reticles are the way to go IMO.
