I’m using 4831sc in my 280AI with Peterson brass but keeping it at just over 2’800 to keep from destroying the primer pockets..I am using H4831sc powder with a Berger 175gr. In my 280AI 1@8 26-inch barrel. I am getting 2900+ fps. But I'm little over max. 4 shot groups. I thought i had loaded up 5 rds of each load. But didnt. N560 would be worth a try.
How do I turn it into 280AI brass? I have the RCBS 2 piece 280AI die set. Redding 3 piece 280Al die set. And a set of LEE 2 piece 280AI die set. (Not SAAMI spec). I have Norma 30 06 brass. I took new old stock Remington 280 rem brass fired forum them. I dont have a way to heat my brass up.Try some Lapua 30/06 brass, tough is an understatement.
